A poem wrote one night as I remembered all the good times I had with my family, wishing I could have them back as they slowly fade away while I try to make a life for myself trying to make my own happiness and not to rely on the past.
The embers are now burning down
All of my memories are now fading
No more burdens to confess now
Fleeting years have slowed to days
Seduced into honesty’s intentions
Waking up no longer in fear
I have stitched up my own heart
My innocence no longer bleeds
