A soul trampled by time and accidents yearns to be released.

The fire I feel is cold,
It crawls through my lonesome being.
The fire I feel is old,
It fights me, constant disagreeing.

Old, so no coals remain.
Old, so hard to reclaim.
Old, so no joy to reign.
Old, so all is mundane.

Soul imprisoned by time,
Time that has changed my soul.
Trapped by thoughts no longer mine,
Leaving little to cheer, extol.

Sweetness now a hostile flame,
Joy a bitter pill to swallow.
Bitterness has taken claim,
Once pregnant heart, now hallow.

Soul encaged by decades,
Decades of inner, declining condition.
Laughter, kindness, left with parade,
Soul needs transfusion, soul magician.

Free my soul,
Free my soul.
Let me once more reign,
Reign over myself,
Reign over and over again.
