Who practice of the same

Who prosper in their wicked done,

And gain for them a name.

Fret not, nor try to pay them back

For all their evil deeds.

The Lord’s provision hath no lack,

To care for all thy needs!

Fear not, because His power is real

The Lord is ever near!

His peace within us we can feel.

While we remain down here!

Forget not all his benefits,

To you he hath made known.

His newfound mercy never quits,

But daily it is shown!

Forget not to be good and kind,

The Lord’s all-seeing eye

Of all your good deeds keepeth mind,

Rewardeth bye and bye!

For when you’d faint and think untrue

To you his dedication

Might it not be He’ll give to you

An answer to supplication?

And if you’d faint because you hold

An unreceptive spirit,

Oh, may he give a word so bold,

And give you grace to hear it!

Faint not when thou art tried of Him,

With the trials He giveth strength!

He doeth nothing on a whim,

But will reveal at length!

For when adversities should be,

And on him you should call.

Your fainting not doth show that He

Doth give thee strength not small!

For when you faint and then ye fall

Ungathered fruit will lay,

When the Father gives the Homward call,

On Resurrection Day!

Unrealized fulfilment here?

Up there, oh, will it be?

Fret not down here, faint not, not fear.

There’s fruit in eternity!
