Is a guy really worth a friend?

She sat alone at the bus stop
In the corner, tears rolling down her face
Reading a letter, weeping
I asked, “What’s wrong are you ok”
“No, I messed up” she replied
I grabbed my bag reached in to hand her Kleenex
Not to pry, she went on, went to a party
Had a few drinks, sat and talked to a young man
He leaned over and kissed her
Her best friend’s boyfriend,
Broke the rules, not realizing the consequences
A split second that can’t be taken back
Told her friend in honesty,
Word got out fast; she has lost a good friend
She sobbed, damaged a friendship she can’t repair
My heart went out to her, she realized the error
Wedged in a moment; that cost her friendship.
