It’s sad to think you spend your entire childhood building friendships only to hardly or never talk to them when you go your seperate ways after highschool.

We met in the third grade

and built a friendship I’d never trade

we played school as children

spent our teens talking about our “men”

and I never thought we’d grow apart

but graduation was just the start

the start of our friendships end

Something that almost seems forgotten

It happens – people grow up, discover new interests and realize they have little in common with their childhood friends any more. You can still try to keep in touch though.

it’s the way of the world, people mature and go their own way. it is sad but it’s life.
