Halloween poem.

I’m listening to the strange sounds,

coming from the dark eerie shadows.

The stench of decay fills the air,

issuing from the rotting coffins.

Will I become the next victim tonight,

of angry spirits haunting this place?

I have no weapons to defend myself with,

not even a single wooden stake.

I must escape from this scary forest,

go to the safety of the city miles away.
