Dusk to Night to Dawn.
I hear the ghostly crying sound
And feel the dew moist ground.
Move silently with gentle tread,
Move silently with fear and dread.
Before the dusk gives way to night,
Before the rose begins to tight.
Move silently with gentle tread,
Move silently with fear and dread.
I hear the violent screeching scream
And feel the ground beneath me heave.
Move silently with gentle tread,
Move silently with fear and dread.
The long dark night before me wakes
And rears its many eyes.
Move silent, forward, gently tread,
Move silent, forward, fear and dread.
I hear a gentle rushing sound
And feel the quivering ground.
Move slowly forward, tense with fright,
Move slowly forward to the light.
Before the dawn gives way to light,
Before the fiery sight.
Move faster forward, sure of foot,
Move faster forward, gone the doubt.
And as the sun begins to rise
And hue the rosy skies.
Move onwards, fast and fleeting sure,
Move onwards to the rolling shore.
