This is a sensitive subject for me but I have learned know matter what mistakes you make in life. God Will Take Care of You and see you through.

You would think my Life would be over

You would think I would not be where I am today

I was NOT about to let this FELONY stop me!

I said to myself, OH NO NOT TODAY!

There is too much I want to do

There is too much I have to say

I was not about to let anyone tell me

I can’t because this FELONY is in my way!

I admit, at first it got to me

Especially when it was time to check that familiar box

Have you ever been convicted of a FELONY?

Wondering should I lie, or should I tell the truth?

At times I just sat there wondering what I am going to do.

I Thanks GOD, even though I was not saved at the time

I chose to do the right thing

And got Blessed every time!

Even if they told me no, I’m sorry but we chose someone else

I just kept on applying

Encouraging myself

The more they said no, and a lot said No,

The stronger I got

That’s when God always step in, when you think that he’s not

Now that I am older I finally see

What God was trying to teach me

And to make sure I see

How not to take things for granted

How not to take things so lightly

To Keep rising no matter what till I get to my Destiny

To know no matter what Life tries to put in your way

To try to destroy you

Man can close no doors that God has open for you

Just to know that gives me a little more energy

To move and keep pressing on, even with this FELONY!

    Terri,
I have read several of you poems. From what I have read, there is a lot of heart, worry, and trouble in them, not to mention hope in GOD.

    This is what gets me though times of worry, trouble, and so on;

Hab 3:16 I heard and my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice. Rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself that I might rest in the day of trouble; to come up against the people; he cuts him off.
    Hab 3:17 Though the fig tree shall not blossom, and fruit is not on the vines; the labor of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food. The flock is cut off from the fold, and no herd is in the stalls;
Hab 3:18 yet I will rejoice in Jehovah, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Hab 3:19 Jehovah the Lord is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk on my high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.

The key in all of this is “YET”.

Even though I get hurt, “YET”.
People lie to me an cheat me, “YET”.
    People ridicule me, “YET”.
    People steal from me, “YET”.
This world tries to steal my joy, “YET”.

Do not let anything take your “YET”.

Look at Job, after chapter 3. You can not find Satan because of his “YET”. Job continued to worship and rejoiced in GOD. Satan does not know what to do with a worshipper of the MOST HIGH.

I read the end of the Bible, we win.

    Rodney
