This is a poem about meeting God and growing in His love. The relationship starts at Golgotha, the Place of the Cross, and from that point, never ends.

original title: ‘Till We Meet Again’

Softly, the winds blow past my face,
Waving leaves like beckoning hands
calling me toward this secluded place,
where darkness descended over all the land.

I stop to wonder, when You came before?
Did You know this place would drip with gore?
Yes, I know You did, but You came here anyway,
willing to suffer and die that day.

Now as I arrive at that place so long ago deserted,
I can almost see Your face in a mixture of love and agony.
Your life was forfeited, and I was there to see,
with the sharpest nail clenched in my fist.

You looked my way and O my life was blessed.
Our paths will connect again someday,
I won’t know where or when or what day….
Until we meet again.
