My feelings.
Sandy was sensitive I guess. she got so easily offended by things that maybe she shouldn’t. The thing was, She felt what she felt and generally didn’t hold it back. This tended to cause conflict between her and her loved ones. Sandy could be called special or maybe crazy but she didn’t care.
Sandy walked up behind him and put her hands over his eyes. She giggled softly and of course this gave her away. He would jump slightly and a knowing smile would cross his face. “Hmmm…and I wonder who this is.” He joked. sandy bit her lip and giggled again as she leaned over his shoulder allowing him a peek. “Hey silly! what are you doing?”
“Nothing much. I am happy to see you.” Dave smiled and pulled her round to face him. “kiss me beautiful.”
Sandy leaned in and kissed his lips and genly brushed the hair from his face. “mmm and I am happy to see you too. I missed you. What are you gonna do today?” she asked just for conversations sake.
” Barbara is supposed to help me with my project.” he said matter-of-factly and smiled sweetly at her. “What are you up to?”
Sandy smiled wanly and swallowed. She knew he really liked Barbara’s company even if he wouldn’t admit it and she tried to hide her concern. “I was just coming by to hang out with you a bit, but I guess you are gonna be pretty busy with that, huh?”
Dave tilted his head and moved over on the bench. “You can join us if you like.”
Sandy cringed and rolled her eyes. “No thank you Dave. I don’t think it would interest me in the slightest.” Sandy crossed her arms and looked up at the leaves hanging from the branches over head. She swallowed hard trying her damndest to hide her jealousy.
“Oh come on Sandy, you know I have no interest in Barbara, she is just my friend.” Dave look convincing enough and he made eye contact with her too. Sandy didn’t think she believed but about 30% of it.
Before Sandy could speak; Dave’s phone rang. He lifted it to his ear and spoke. His face changed dramatically when the soft voice rang over the telephone line. He smiled big and started talking into the line. It was as if Sandy had ceased to exist when Dave’s phone rang. And at the mention of one name, Sandy knew her inexistance to be true.
