The many miles that separate can be a stumbling block if allowed to be, but nothing is impossible as long as there is the will and desire behind it.

To get from here to there,

I could end up anywhere.

For you to get from there to here,

I’d say would be worthy of a beer.

But to see your face,

I must say

would cause my heart to race.

To finally see you, to touch you,

would be a dream come true.

It would be well worth the many miles

because of my Tennessee smiles.

Do you ever wonder

how it would be

to finally get to hold me?

Does that thought ever cross your mind

from time to time?

It would be so wild

to walk hand and hand

down the streets I tread

and the place I lay my head.

Unfamiliar to you,

but oh so familiar to me.

Wouldn’t this be a grand thing to do?

Does your heart and body desire enough

to point you my way?

Or am I just spitting in the wind

to ask so much of a friend?

I dare say,

but maybe one day.

DB…sounds like that day, if it was to ever materialize would be some kind of a heart-throbber for two special people. This is a very cute poem with a not so subtle message, but I like it a lot…you’ve been pretty quiet the last few days…welcome back and you made your return with another winner…Thank you…
