Camping in the forest with a campfire. The night animals come out to take a look curious as to who and what it was.

Fire light,
from yonder sight.
How are you this lonesome night?
Embers dancing in the air,
lightening bugs getting trapped
in their snare.
I just sit back and stare.
Mr. Panther I see your eyes
watching me from the trees
where you hide.
I am not scared
because the fire keeps him at bay.
I hear the wise ole owl
hooting his nightly hello
to a lonely ole fellow.
A lone coyote peeps out from the bush
curious to take a look.
After he sees me,
he runs back to the pack,
taking a moment
to howl back at me
before running into the hills,
taking turn in drills.
It soon becomes dawn,
and all the night animals
appear to be gone.
The day creatures
start to peep out their heads,
crawling out of their nightly beds.
The birds, squirrels, rabbits, and deer.
The squawk of a hawk is what I hear.
I pack up my things,
and say good-bye for now.
I will see you again,
next time come spring
