Poem about rebirth.
From your ashes rising,
Flame and fire flash.
The shadows of darkness dying,
Bright light erupting from the ash.
And regal head bursts forth,
Feathers and plumes of smoke.
The stains of sorrow try,
To wrap around and choke.
This heart reborn from your ashes,
A Phoenix in its liking.
And image of life and death and rebirth,
The light of this new form darkness striking.
I shall not let your scorn and hate,
Ruin me burn me and cause.
This tangible chaos and pain,
I, like the Phoenix, am eternally pure.
So go away, pitiable past,
And let me live my future.
I’ll spread these wings of fiery flame,
And forget these wounds now sutured.
