Poem By: Chantell O.

If there was a scale for attitude.
I can go from zero straight to piss off.
What can me off?
When someone asks for advice then it bites you
in the butt when you give it.
A person that is all screwed up themselves then want to
tell you what you should, or should not do.
How about when you reach out to a person and they always
claim to be busy then when they need someone they expect
you to jump fast.
That piss me off.
Oh, yeah can’t forget about all this stuff all over the
television every channel you turn to.
My child is eight.
there is a lot of stuff my child is unable to watch or play
like Grown up shows, Family guy, Music Videos, Certain
Video games etc.
They sneak it in with the commercials.
Piss Me Off.
I have to change the channel or turn the T.V off.
This really gets me.
It is not my child’s fault and he feels he is getting punished
at times.
He says to me but Mommy, it is just a show.
I do know that but everything is real even these shows.
I told him everything you see is not fake, or right.
It is not for kids.
He then says, why do they put it on the kids channel then.
I am now pissed off, but he needs to also know the truth
about how the world works.
I am still learning myself.
Television use to be controlled.
These days it is like everything is for everybody.
Big, Piss off.
What happened to the Morals and Values.
Where did they go?
I know you smart ones know Where I am going.
That is why I am showing how I feel.
We all have to keep it real.

Venting is good for you, get it off your chest!

A really good rant, letting of steam by writting is the best way, to let it flow, nice work from you.

I am so with you on this one! We have the problem that we have an older son of 17 then two more at 12 and 10. The 10 year old so wanted to watch family guy, all his friends at school talked about it and he felt left out. So my husband sat and watched it with him (after vetting it first) he didn\’t get the smut jokes and couldn\’t understand why adults thought it so good. So by letting him have a monitored taste of it, his curiosity has gone and we get some piece.

you can always write in to the tv programme about it as they have checks to follow, if not they can be in trouble, it is right what you say and i wouldnt put up with it, a child shouldnt see adult stuff it should be on late when children are in bed, i hope you are in a better mood now.lol!

Television has thrown morals and values out the window.

  • LoveDoctor on Oct 10, 2009

Yes, very true what you said. Things like this piss me off too. Usually people come to me for advice and then when I do then they blame me for things not going the way it should. But you told me I should. So now I no longer give advice to anyone. morals and values: very rare these days. so sad yet so true. good work.

Children learn from what they see and hear..that’s a fact. It’s terrific that you explain to your son why you dislike certain programs..good for you Chantelle :-)
