A bumblebee named Fuzz who learns to share.
A bumblebee called Fuzz
Buzzed to a thistle-head so sweet
He sat upon the purple soft
To rest his tiny feet.
Another bee would join him
But he buzzed a warning call
“I do not share!–Flee–greedy bee–
This thistle-head–I want it all!”
“Who’s the greedy bee?”
The bee named Catch enquired,
“I’m not the one who will not share!”
He flew away–pursued–skyward.
The angry Fuzz bee chased him hard,
Down through the forest trees;
He flew into a spider’s web,
While Catch, the bee, flew free.
“I’ll help you out, Fuzz!” the free bee called,
“The spider’s coming; just stay still!
Stop your struggling, I’ll get you free,
Calm down now you foolish bee”
Catch freed Fuzz and together they flew
Back to the thistle patch,
“Come with me, I’ll share with you!”
Fuzz now welcomed Catch.
