Dating game prizes not what they seem.

I had a date last night with a girl I’d met.
I tried to hold her hand to see how far I’d get.
She squeezed mine back–oh how good it felt
And I thanked her by giving her an alligator belt.

We drove around town for just a little while
Then went out into the country for about a mile.
She hugged me with such TLC–she was a nurse.
I thanked her by giving her an alligator purse.

We parked in the moonlight to watch the stars above.
She started in to talking about being in love.
She gave me such a kiss it chased away my blues.
I thanked her by giving her some alligator shoes.

Back at her apartment I thought I’d go inside.
Instead she shook my hand and thanked me for the ride.
She  said she liked the gator gifts but goodness sake,
I got the last laugh.  All the skins were fake.

    oops!
    That was awkward.
    Maybe you’re trying too hard.

in one of your other posts you mentioned not remembering special days etc, did you spend at least half on your wife while you were married?

Don’t really need to answer that. My own experience was that the hubby had more ‘money’ to spend on ‘friends’ and couldn’t or wouldn’t supply my ‘necessities’
    which succeeded in causing contention.
