A calming poem. I hope You like it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

let’s go to a place

anyplace works just fine

just so long as it exists

(for now, at least)

and isn’t too horribly boring

or the place

i’m thinking about

get Your own

now i want You to think

carefully (mostly fully)

about what You see

in this place

because as You do

as You See what’s There

for what’s not Here

the splinters in the railing

will stand at Your attention

with intention they’ll creak

for the blood in Your palm

stay calm

this is Your place

not mine

nor theirs

just look closer

just focus

refocus

the rain will tune in

patient static

while You stare

out at Yourself

the shadows will

cast upon each other

for a chance to be Seen

pleading at Your feet

while the silent tear

dropping slowly

starts to

Sing

I love how your words draw a different place for each who read it… Well done :)
