Since its inception in Greece, democracy has come a long way. As we witness unstable regimes that disappear, as quickly as they appear on the horizon of world politics, we are thrilled to witness our democracy remain unchallenged, in spite of surges of disagreements that, in fact, help reassure its continuity, for the reason that it is based on freedom of expression and never under any kind of political duress.
Go where freedom
loudly rings,
Where the humble poet
sings,
Where the joy of living
brings
Hope galore;
Where a democratic
nation
In its sweet
exhilaration
Knows no dissipation
Of its moralistic core.
Go where people strive
to see
Through their efforts verily
Ways of true
equality
To explore,
In a sound
administration,
Which by no
exaggeration,
Can, indeed, uplift
the nation,
Proudly so.
Go where labor
is requited,
And where wrongs are
surely righted,
And the spirit
is ignited,
As it yields;
Through the utmost
circumspection,
Striving in the right
direction
Of a body whose
election
Justice wields.
Where the present
keeps revealing
Future benefits
appealing,
As the bells of freedom
peeling,
Oh, so clear!
That promoters
of oppression
In their halls
of retrogression,
And such tyrants of
suppression
Stand to hear.
To be strong and
well-respected,
And by actions
well-directed,
To be wanted,
not rejected,
Is the goal
Of a nation proudly
dwelling
With great hope and trust
excelling,
And the love of freedom
welling
In its soul.

chances
Of successes and
advances
Through the knowledge that
enhances
As it flows.
