Ghosts of Past, Present and Future…A Poem encouraging people to focus and look ahead in life rather than muse over about their past.

While the Past is wasted, the future awaits

Holding a lamp, in its loyal embrace

Shedding a tear for many sorrows unseen

Sharing equally in my vivid dreams,

It Blankets my fear of horrors today

Raising my hope to pass another day

Surveying my goals for future embrace

Distilling my notion of many lives despaired

Be gone, O dreaded devil of my Past

Your eyes bled fire, your ambitions were rash

Your mouth spit demons and left me appalled

Henceforth, my future will shine and my glory will last.

Sounds familiar as if you were writing of my life. Thank you for this piece and may it help others as well as myself in the search for peace.
