Lord, please take my hand,
let me take a final breath…
before I begin
my prayer my final gift…

Sometimes you never listen
I think, what’s the point?
then I remember the love…
you sent her to me…

Before I leave her,
please give me some wings…
I need to be her angel…
Sometimes I’ve not been there
Even though she holds me
way up there with thee,
So please grant my wish
give some wings to me…

She lifts me high.
higher than the bluest sky…
my shelter on a stormy day
she’s the apple of my eye…

She makes me cry…
my love on a rainy day,
she’s my angel in the night
forever my guiding light…

So before I leave her,
please give me some wings…
I need to be her angel…
