Give me your ring

That circular band

Made of precious metal

That sets with gems

So that I may wear it as a symbol

Of our marriage

Give me your ring

That’s metal or plastic

As proof of our engagement

Let’s use a ring

For holding napkins

When we dine

On such an occasion

Like in a ring

Let’s do a circular dance

On our wedding night

Let’s form a ring to promote

The causes that we love

While ringing bells

Let’s have contests and exhibitions

It’s a circus ring

A prizefighting ring for wrestling

In astronomy

There’s some planets that form rings

As they orbit as Saturn or Uranus

Toss a horse shoe

So that it encircles a peg

In a game of rings

A ring is symbolic

Of the cycle of life

That never ends

But keeps going like a round dance

It’s everlasting
