To give a gift is to get a gift. You give something tangible, and receive back something intangible in it’s place.

When they said “Shop till you drop” they had me in mind
I’m on quest to all the bargains find
Vitamins for a friend, a special treat for another
A vase for my daughter, a book for her brother
Sponge Bob for my grand son. He’ll flip for this

And for my husband, a giant Hershey kiss
Taking home the gifts I’m full of anticipation
Of happy faces reflecting appreciation
It’s so much fun looking high and low
For the perfect gift to make their faces glow
They have no idea what this ritual does you see
The pleasure I can give comes flowing back to me.
