She was but a breeze in my life
                A slight whisper
   Leaving an echo
                That would beckon recalls
Of a former existence
                Not forgotten, not together
    Needing shelter to adjust

  She’s forever
                        A breeze gone bye……..

She was a mystery.  One that captivated the infatuation that drew me to her.  She was like math; something I enjoyed but something I couldn’t and would never understand.  Her first impression left me hard but mine left her wondering.  She was private yet curious.  Passionate yet refined.  Attractive yet dangerous.  How could she ever like me?  I’m not her type, her brand or label.  Not her words, mine, a wall built by rejection.  But, she had me internally.  Why did we do lunch and she kept me at bay.  She was an enigma.  Teasing and rejecting me all at once.  Caring and nonchalant, vocal yet quiet.  I couldn’t stop thinking about her.  Our attraction was before its time but a moment that would never happen again.  The flowers I sent her were amazing; a tropical amazon that she would forever remember.  Somehow she always knew how I was doing and where I was but she remained in the shadows.  I have no regrets, my life is good now.  The spirit of recall has a way of reaching out at just the right time to let you know that you were worthy of the past.  Our farewell was enchanting.  A bold move in to kiss her lips, a thrusting away to reject the love and ease the pain, a wave goodbye with her hand pressed on the train’s window leaving fingerprints on my heart.  The iron chariot signals departure. Farewell friend, the nights wind will guide my destiny forever.  I stayed until her silhouette became a shadow, a vision and finally……a glimpse.
