Though threads of shared essentials lace all nations,
deep conflicts come from lack of compromise
‘tween those deciding power’s declarations.
Where one’s sun sets, the other’s on the rise.

Division, hatred, selfishness breed war, 

neglecting our innate inter-connection; 

but when we tune to common inner core 

we orchestrate a score of truth’s perfection.

The challenge is, we’ve yet to learn to listen, 

especially to counter-points of view
that take a different angle or position,
revealing life with panoramic hue.

Our differences dissolve when we extol 

the goal of understanding and acceptance, 

so hearts aflame with love can gain control 

and celebrate our co-interdependence.
