Karma, yin and yang, fate, the scales of justice; call it what you will. Growing up, I always heard the mothers in the neighborhood say, "God don’t like ugly". That is to say that when you do bad (ugly) things, God sees it and you will have to pay for it one way or another. There is justice in the universe.

You set your feet upon this path
But they’re stuck in a cyclical rut
Notice how they keep coming ‘round
To kick you in the butt?
Don’t ever think you got away
Because you’ve not been caught
You have to know that you must pay
For the damage that you’ve wrought
For every action, consequence
For each sin we must atone
And we will always have to reap
Everything that we have sown
I’m not quite sure why you’re surprised
(Karma is a bitch!)
Did you not know you risk a fall
Each time you dig a ditch?
You set out to do evil
And with evil you’ll be repaid
For all the ugly things you’ve done
I’d say that’s a fair trade
So keep in mind the things I’ve said
When you want to tempt your fate
Remember God don’t like ugly
You’ll get what’s coming; just wait
