Selfish-desires are a habit of mine
and they will be for all times
they keep me from seeing you 
and the way I could serve you too.

For I ask that you clean my hardened heart
and give me a new life to start
for I know that I’m born again
even though I still sin.

God you are my God and forever you will be
for the way I live my life seems to be a reflection of me
but Lord deep down inside
I still honor and serve, for it’s you in which I abide.

Give me a heart that yearns for more
and a life that reflects your love
for Lord you’ll always love me
