He was Loving and kind once…

One by one, Life struck it’s blows.

A careless driver, a broken home,

Jumped in the street and God only knows.

Can’t call the police, they don’t have time,

They deal with him roughly.

The scars left behind.

So he hardens his heart, with anger and hate,

He doesn’t have time, no justice awaits.

His mother cries endlessly, reaching for him

Praying, Dear Lord forgive him his sins.

For deep in her heart she knows somewhere he’s there,

Her Loving kind son was has lived with despair.

And she knows that one day he’ll come home again.

By the grace of God his heart will be changed.

For he was Loving and kind once…

And he’ll always be,

The LIGHT in her life,

That others can’t see.
