The Gift of a child is a gracious Gift
That comes from the hand of God.
So that you can cherish and keep her safe,
For her life down here on earth.
To help her grow and come to know,
The God of truth and life.
So take this cherished Gift of God,
And care for her with prayer.
Then God the giver of this Gift,
Will never leave it there,
But he will guide and take you through
The days that lie ahead.
And then one day you will realize,
God’s gift to you was good.
Bring her up into his ways,
So that you might show.
Your thankfulness in sending
This precious Gift to you.
