Today I see
The grace of God
In temptations most severe
And trials and tribulations
His spirit has been with me
I have gotten the victory

But without Him
I wouldn’t have the grace
Or strength to ever make
The better choice
But He heard my prayers
His spirit overcame
When human self could not

So today I thank God
From the deepest part
Of my needy heart
For understanding me
For knowing what I can
And cannot bear
And for bringing me
Out of the desert land

I thank Him
For showing me
His grace is sufficient
