I asked the Lord to rescue, help save me from that place.
Well I use to be a little apple tree, I grown up from the ground
Birds all come and pecked on me and knocked my apples down
So I asked the Lord to rescue, help save me from that place
Put me closer to Him, so I could see His face
so He picked me up and moved me, and He done it with such ease
He put me in the Garden of Eden, with Adam and Eve
But they crawled up under my branches, and they hid up under my leaves
then they ate them rotten apples, and it bought em to their knees
So I asked the LORD to rescue, to move me from that place
put me closer to Him, so I could see His face
so He picked me up and moved me, and He done it with such ease
He put me up in heaven, with all His favorite trees
One time when Jesus walked past, He picked an apple that day
He said that’s really good, I think I should, move you again today
so He picked me up and moved me, and He done it with such ease
He planted me up, in His crown, right up to my knees
Now I’m a big Ole Apple Tree, my fruit don’t hit the ground
He picks from me every day, and passes it around
He shines on me with Glory, and He gives me all His Love
He put on top my branches, a Big White Turtle Dove
Now the birds don’t come and peck on me, He scares em all away
I’m happy in this wonderful place, and I hope I’m here to stay
Well I used to be a little apple tree, that grown up from the ground
now I’m a Big Ole Apple tree, Hope to see you around
