Where is the best place to find serenity? Try going home to family and friends.

Traveling to a comfortable place,
A place where one can sing or not,
Raise your voice, for all to hear, or not.
Home again, where the welcome mat awaits,
No stress, no thunder, no sounds of strife.
Home, to the love of family, and friends.
So happy, to see your familiar face,
Home, to warmth, caring and concern.
Don’t know how long I’ll stay,
But home, is where I am going,
For sure, I just can’t wait to get there.

I agree with you. I have been away a several times in my life and even though I liked where I was, coming home was always a very special feeling. I have been away enough to know now, that home is where I want to stay.

    Lovely poem.

This is a beautiful poem. I think home has different meanings for us at different stages in life, but regardless it still so nice to go home.

    Very nice.
This is kind of like having to wait to get to heaven and be with the One True Father
