Fleeting moments fading into
Time’s eternal atmosphere….

Poem:

Fleeting moments fading into

Time’s eternal atmosphere,

Leave behind their golden feathers  –

Opportunities so dear!

Grab a floating, golden feather

Quickly from its space of time,

What may turn to be a treasure,

Any moment, any clime!

For it is a part of something

Irreplaceable at most;

Not at all like any other

That may be replaced when lost.

Fortunate are those that capture

Opportunities of gold,

Crowding pages of our history

With achievements, new and old.

It is always said that somewhere

You may find what seems but far,

You may feel or think remotely

Of that shining, distant star.

You may let alone those “feathers,”

Floating in the space of time.

You may soon dismiss it quickly

Like some sentimental rhyme.

There are moments when you fathom

The content of wisely knowing

That there is a timely flicker

Though that light may not be glowing.

When you see that “golden feather,”

Grab it now or grab it never,

If you miss it, you may wonder

If it’s really gone forever.
