Poem/Song

When things finally go your way, when you have blessings you can’t even count anymore, wouldn’t you look back at that moment when you had your heart badly broken and wish that heartbreaker ex-love “good luck?”

I gave you all I had,
Could’ve given you more.
But you quit on me too soon
when you witnessed me fall.

Back then I was just half
Of who I am now;
Didn’t have much to offer
But I gave love somehow.

Used to have nothing
But you on my mind;
And think that what we had
was one of a kind.

No one could love you
As much as I did.
Good luck getting over that.

Now that I look back,
I would’ve traded my all
To have you and keep you;
But not anymore.

All I ever wanted
Was you’d stick around enough
And what I’ll accomplish,
You’re on behalf.

Everything finally
Fell into place.
I have my successes
All up in pace.

You lost a lover
And your greatest investment.
Good luck getting over that.

    You mention that this is a song too? Maybe you can post it as lyrics too. Anyway, I liked it. I know how it feels, only I couldn’t put those feelings into words as good as you have. Good job! :)
