When the leaves start falling, you know that Autumn is on the way and Summer has gone….
A summer of tee shirts and shorts
Of strawberries and cream
Of sunny days and light nights
It will soon become a dream!
A walk in the park today
Confirms with a sudden start
The leaves are already on the ground
Me and my sandals must part!
Out come the jackets the shoes
The cardigans the coats
The chilly days and evenings
With scarves wrapped round our throats!
As the evenings grow shorter
The flowers start to die
The frost and snow will be here soon
