I lost my Grandma in November of 2008.
She is from short red hair
to no hair at all.
From independent woman
to catch me if i fall.
She is from appointment to appointment
to pain not healed.
From doctor to doctor
to pain meds not sealed.
She is from happy and smiling
to quiet, fragile, and weak.
From healthy and mobile
to find a cure we seek.
she is from routine visits
to nothing is right.
From a few months of kemo
to giving up the fight.
She is from our family
which wont leave her side.
From patiently waiting
to along for the ride.
She is from down here with us
to up there with him.
From stopping the treatment
to singing a hemn.
