The tribe arrive for an en mass visit. Mama sleeps in.

I’ve said it once
I’ve said it twice
To pester your sibbies
Isn’t nice.

Don’t leave open
A formerly closed door;
Use your napkin,
That’s what its for.

Don’t take stuff
From a private shelf;
Keep your hands
To yourself.

When I hear
Your voices raised
I’m pretty sure
It’s not in praise.

If you don’t behave
I’ll tell you true
I’ve LOTs of work
For you to do!

    I’ve often threatened to send my girls to stay with Grandpa for a week to learn some respect. Grandpa says I spoil them, and he’s probably right. His parenting methods were harsh, and would be considered child abuse now, but I sure learned to respect him.

    That’s the way to handle the grandkids, Grandmother knows how it’s done.

    Good write. My granddaughters know I love them but Grandma don’t put up with no crap. They mind me better than they do their mother.
