This is a poem about a grandmother that everyone loves. She doesn’t like to be alone. She sing songs when everyone is home. One hot day a little kid was sick and didn’t go to school. That same day grandmother Jones sensed she was about to die. She told the kid to put on your shoes and go to the neighbors house cause it was cold and something was going on. This was the only time that she wanted to be alone. However, she didn’t want the kid to be alone. She knew that the kid needed someone.

Everyone loved grandmother Jones for she was nice
She would smile and give you the shirt off her back
She would help everyone and would not think twice
Her grandkids thought that she was a shining angel

When the kids were sick they went to Ms. Jones
When they were punished they went to Ms. Jones
She was ninety years old and had small bones
She moved around fast with her bad skin tone

When every one went to work she was at home
When all the kids went to school she was alone
When everyone got home she would sing a song
She was loved no matter if she was right or wrong

One hot day a little kid was sick and stayed at home
Ms. Jones said put on your shoes it is very cold
Go to the neighbors tell them something going on
Ms Jones died, that time she just wanted to be alone
