To all of those rebel Nana’s who raised their rebel daughters.

Grandmother’s Revenge

I have to admit

When you were a teen

You did quite a few things

That made me want to scream

Stubborn and moody

Boy, were you a brat!

From zero to sixty

In two seconds flat

Luckily, though

You can to no harm

Despite all of your efforts

To cause me alarm

And I’m proud of the woman

To which you have grown

A mother yourself

With teens of your own

As I take them now

To get a tatoo

I can’t help but think

The joke is on you
