Sometimes the pull of love is just too strong to fight. I surrender…..

Resisting you is like trying

To overturn the laws of gravity

I’ve tried to break the hold

I even got a running start

The further I got away from you

The harder I fell (in love with you)

I thought I was immune

Finished with romance

My heart like tempered steel

I’ve been through so much

But your love is a strong magnet

How will I ever separate myself?

I told myself that the last time

Was indeed the last time

But here you are

And I am but a mere human

Why would I even attempt

To fight gravity and magnetism?

Nice poetic essay about the laws of physics (which are forever unchanging) and love (which can come and go and return.)

    No magnetism,
    No gravity
    No man
    No woman
    And
    No woman
    No man.

    The laws of nature
    Are supreme
    Gravity is magnetic
    Love is gravitational
    Without magnetism
    We wouldn’t have been

    Gravity or magnetism
Say what you want to say
    There would’ve been
    Nothing common
    Man and woman
    In between

Why do you keep resisting when it is obivous that it\\\\\\\’s pulling you in the direction you know you really want to go? Well? Or else why are you writing these sappy love poems. lol

  • ashan1614 on Jan 15, 2010

Okay, diamond, you got me…. I know EXACTLY what and who I want. I’m just trying to figure out a way to make a graceful exit.

    *bitter smile envelops my mouth*

So true! I’ve turned my back on someone who I held in love, now she’s turned her back to me and I regret! The magnet that she is, is pulling me, I’ve been so stupid!

I’ll take it from Lisa’s words, ” Love is hard and it does pull you back and forth”.

  • T.Rex McGoogle on Jan 27, 2010

A very good romantic write written on a higher plane.

  • Aldrin A Wilding West on Jan 31, 2010

Graceful exits don’t happen….let’s face it, but if you’ve reached the point when you’re seeking one, then you have to remember that once you’re on the other side, the reality will far, far outweigh the worries you had about the fallout you might cause by getting there :) You know by now that this is one critic who’s willing you on………
