I feel a particular sense of awe when dawn emerges, at which time, I listen to the sparrow chirping, as if signaling the onset of another day in the making.
I look out, resigned
To the gray light of dawn,
When the garment of night
Has just been shorn;
As the twittering sparrows
Come out to greet
The presence of Nature,
Subliminal, sweet!
The cool, summer air
As fresh as can be
Restores my spirit,
Bubbling so free!
The breath of Creation
Is felt all around;
The choicest of harmonies
Softly resound
In the depth of my being
While I sense the whole
Of Nature within
My awakened soul!
