This is a story about a man who played by the book at every company he ever worked for, only to be ignored for his work. He was kept quiet and somewhat happy only because he needed work to keep up with simple living in America. He then took the ultimate gamble one day, and never looked back.
He went beyond and above
Developed a special bond of love
He played by the book
Still had the look of a crook
Or something, maybe he wasn’t good at bluffing
He still continued to be nothing, not even a broken piece
of the puzzle…merely just an indentured servant
merely just property up for lease
After all this time he still felt inferior
Every sliver of hope seemed like a leery blur
He excelled at everything except puckering up to the proper posterior
Right skills, wrong time, wrong place
No regard for human life…it’s Hello, Goodbye, tomorrow the powers stuffed another face
Same situation, one step closer to keep pace
with the average family’s American nightmare
He was powerless, seemed like only his fellow herd of sheep might care
They were all grazed at the bottom with junk food for thought
Praised with the finest lies money just bought
He gave up being part of another scheme and plot
He stepped out on his own, followed his dream and forgot
Being used as a pawn
The days he slaved without a name are finally gone
No more feeding from bottom to bottom because that is supposed to be the norm
He’s started his journey, now he resides where the winters are warm
