Beaks beneath one wing as in a scabbard.
On one leg do stand
The great blue herons
Beaks tucked beneath one wing
Like so many swords in scabbard
In that pose their beaks would seem
To be so very well protected
But for the bird itself
There might be disadvantage
What if their underwing
Deodorant was ineffective
