The world is in financial chaos
For which I can see no end,
The Great Recession of 2008
Will become a Great Depression by 2010.

With Kevin Rudd in control
The financial meltdown cannot end,
Unless Rudd-the-dud begins to think
We’ll have a Great Depression by 2010.

But a man of words and not actions
What kind of message can Kevin Rudd send?
That will alleviate the mounting catastrophe
To prevent a Great Depression by 2010.

Australia’s financial world is run by eunuchs
Whereas once it was run by men,
Unless we can cut away all the dead weight
We’ll have a Great Depression by 2010.

We’ve learnt no lessons from the past
We make the same mistake over again,
Unless we start to take stock of history
There’ll be a Great Depression by 2010.

It’s time to stop hording money
The time has come for the government to spend,
They have to start creating new jobs, or
We’ll have a Great Depression by 2010.

In the 1930s in the United States
A New Deal began to mend,
The damage caused by the Bank of London
Telling the whole world not to spend.

The New Deal saved the world
In the 1930s way back when,
And unless we spend to create jobs now
There’ll be a Great Depression by 2010.
