The future wont be ours to conquer. We will all live under a command of computers and machinary. Human thoughts will be eliminated as we move on to only think and worship one direction. And our new God will be Greed.

Greed is the worlds new God

We’ve all been seeded inside this pod

Our minds well cultivated

Marked with an imprinted scan

We have been monitored

And set in place of a plan

All human thoughts eliminated

In comes an electronically tagged buyer

Pressing our thoughts

Only to aim higher

We are now been used as economical tools

To fill up the kitty

As unquestionable fools

Welcome to the land of plenty

Only your hearts and souls will be empty

As we will all come to worship greed!

Yes,Greed is our God.Only out of Greed, mankind has progressed, civilization has grown, cultures have evolved and developed;otherwise we would have been nomads, using and thriving only with primitive tools.A thought provoking poem.Thanks.

There certainly are extremely greedy people, but I think a certain amount of greed is necessary. After all, who can earn a living working for a poor man? Yet we hear so much about those greedy rich. Every person I have ever met strives to better his/her position in life. Does that make them greedy? I’m not so sure.

Very awesome and thought inspiring piece. Everyone is greedy. A little bit of greed is still greed. But it’s important to have balance and I think this piece makes people who are not balanced, in denial, or are insecure of their balance; reflect. After all most people want to be good people and don’t want to think that things they do can have varying effects on things in their lives.

I like Steve’s quote too.
