When asked to write a 300 word belief statement, I opted for prose instead of a few trite, self-righteous lines in order to better express my views.

Do you laugh?

There are so many beautiful

moments,

that often I cannot

speak.

I can only chuckle.

Wet towels are a disappointing

experience; and warm toilet seats are nice,

until you realize the reason for them being

warm.

Make out like a teenager.  Music should be played

loud and frequently,

like laughter should be.

Mornings are the worst

part of the day. Nights are far too important to spend alone, and so

I have a teddy bear.

Mornings suck,

because they tear me from

my teddy.

When the BLAZING leaves of autumn touch the

ground,

they are for crunching

underfoot;

as snowfall is for cuddling on the couch.

Hands

cold from snowball throwing

are meant to be held.

Grass needs bare feet.

As do sandy beaches.

We should take the time

to ponder eternity

when looking at the nightly heavens,

and then quickly retreat indoors when the size of the universe frightens us.

Don’t be jealous

of the stars in their ethereal

glory.

Remember that you are eternal

when you see a star, and it is not. Stars envy

YOU.

Have you ever tried

to escape your shadow?

It’s harder than you’d think.

Now imagine pretending to be

someone

you’re not.

Figure out who you are,

even if that is uncomfortable.

Try not to buy name-brand stuff, you’re not

Calvin Klein.

Don’t listen to what the mirror says,

it’s biased.

Be confident,

pick up a random hobby

that no one else has.

Throwing rocks at empty Sobe bottles is a good one.

Wait,

don’t,

that’s mine.

The sound

of breaking glass

is the best sound in the world,

except for those

three special words.

Life is really about making

smiles

with special people

and interesting journal entries.

I believe in love. Love people.

You are a ‘people’.

Tell someone you

love

them by a silent statement.

The silent,

mirrored image of

love

in another’s eye is worth

everything.

Man

is inherently good,

just confused at times.

Man

searches for happiness

through various means.

Happiness is but a small moment,

so we need to find it often.

Take time to hang out, preferably

upside down.

Take the headphones

out

and revert to

simplicity,

your childhood.

Kiwis taste the best because they are green.  Eat colors, and sticky peanut butter.

Be quiet when something is beautiful.

Love,

Eat Life, and giggle often.
