Grief takes its toll on a person.
Grief changes your very being
it is not your image you are seeing
when you look in the mirror
You have to get that bit nearer
to see yourself a little clearer
Bags hang beneath your eyes
they fill with tears for you to cry
then linger and refuse to say goodbye
Your face turns a pinkish red
you want to hide away in bed
Try and get up and face the day
find a distraction to take the pain away
