A father feels miserable doing the grocery shopping for the family.

I’ve got the grocery shopping blues.

I wish they’d go away.

Pushing the grocery cart throught the aisles,

Never makes my day.

My grocery list is a half mile long.

I don’t know what to do.

That is why I feel so down.

I’m singing the grocery shopping blues.

Bread, butter, jelly, and jam,

Don’t forget mustard, spaghetti, and ham,

Lettuce, and tomato,

Cucumber, and pickles too.

I can’t stop singing the grocery shopping blues.

Dish detergent, toilet paper, and diapers, boo hoo.

What is a poor, miserable father to do?

Yes, I’ve been here for one hour

Walking in my worn out shoes.

Just pushing the cart

Singing the grocery shopping blues.

Ain’t that the truth. Shopping can be a joy at times but at other moments, it is the last thing that you want to do!

So true… think because we have to grocery shop, it takes the fun out of it!
