A father feels miserable doing the grocery shopping for the family.
I’ve got the grocery shopping blues.
I wish they’d go away.
Pushing the grocery cart throught the aisles,
Never makes my day.
My grocery list is a half mile long.
I don’t know what to do.
That is why I feel so down.
I’m singing the grocery shopping blues.
Bread, butter, jelly, and jam,
Don’t forget mustard, spaghetti, and ham,
Lettuce, and tomato,
Cucumber, and pickles too.
I can’t stop singing the grocery shopping blues.
Dish detergent, toilet paper, and diapers, boo hoo.
What is a poor, miserable father to do?
Yes, I’ve been here for one hour
Walking in my worn out shoes.
Just pushing the cart
Singing the grocery shopping blues.
