Learn the proper way to use a weapon as gun control instead of taking them away. After all, guns are only objects. It is the people that use them without proper education that are dangerous.
I favor teaching children
The way to use a gun.
Such teaching is the best control,
But it isn’t being done.
Some say that having guns is bad,
“All guns we ought to ban.
Disarm and do away with guns
By every means we can.”
Well, it’s true in one sense
That guns should be controlled.
Like, if you ever point a gun –
Do you know the proper hold?
Have you identified your target
And where the bullet goes?
Let’s teach these things to everyone
So everybody knows.
A gun is just an instrument,
Like a car or a tv set.
And learning gun safety is the best control,
But we haven’t tried that yet.
