Poem about the escalating wave of crime in American cities… Gunshots.

Ring Out
Gunshots ring out in all our cities streets
Each bullet aimed at goodness and peace
Their owner’s identities are cloaked in
The darkness of evil and destruction
Drive-by shootings, gang wars, killings abound
Wickedness boasts triumph across this great land
Yea but the way of blackness is everlasting death
And once expelled from the light
There’s no coming back
So keep your sparks burning brightly
Hold your hearts strong and true
And in the end the darkness of night
Shall give way to the light of eternal day
