Developed in Japan, haiku demonstrates its unique and simple art of literature that made its way in English poems.

Haiku consists of three lines that contain five syllables for the first line, seven for the second and five for the last line.

Example of this would be

Five in the first line
seven in the second line
five in last line

In haiku you do not have to rhyme, the only thing that is important are the three lines and syllables.

My Haiku

In the night I see
the sad shivering serpent
searching for the light

Through my troubled souls
I walk alone seeking truth
but something stops me

青い海から
